Although the official language of Shireroth is English, we have speakers of Spanish, Irish, Latin, Finnish, and all sorts of other interesting languages. Shireroth also has two homegrown "conlangs", or artifically constructed languages: Hyperborean and Yardistani.

ílílu rilikal isilika'Borelan. (this is a sentence in Hyperborean)
Soyo ne Palâbrsa nja Idiomr Iardix. (this is a sentence in Yardistani)

Shireroth also has a bit of native literature. From role-playing in Kildare to poems in the University to even plays and novels, our citizens express our distinctive culture in a variety of ways. Click on the bar on the right to read some of these works.

Shireroth's English contains some random little quirks, kind of like how the British always spell "center" wrong. Most of these come from our founder, Erik, who has a peculiar way of talking that people around him tend to pick up...such as separating things by three periods instead of normal sentence work...kind of like in this sentence...but we also have words that we have picked up from historical context. For example, way back "in the day", micronationalist Ryan Caruso set up a micronation based on, of all things, Hell, calling it the PRH; since then, the expression "What the PRH?" has come into common currency. There are a few more of these little gems, as you'll proly (proly being a distinctly Shirerithian abbreviation) learn to your confusion if you ever talk to us.
